Si Satchanalai Buddha

About 50km north of Sukhothai is an old city called Si Satchanalai. It was founded by the son of the King of Sukhothai around 1250 AD. It was a fairly large city (kingdom?) until the fall of Ayuthaya in the 1700's. Now it's yet another park full of ruins which one can go visit. This Buddha statue was on top of one of the ruined temples which we hiked up to.
